Three sessions most teams already run

Estimation, confidence checks, and mood checks are three different questions, and teams tend to answer them with three different improvised tools: a round of numbers called out in a video call, a show of hands, and a manager's intuition. ScrumMastr gives each of them the same shape. Open a room, share the link, everyone answers at once, and the host reveals when the room is in.

Planning Poker is for sizing work. Confidence Voting is for finding out whether the team believes a plan before committing to it. Moodboards are for taking the temperature of the people doing the work. You can run more than one in the same room, which is why the confidence check at the end of sprint planning tends to actually happen here rather than getting skipped for time.

Why the votes stay hidden until the reveal

The first number spoken in an estimation session sets the range for every number after it. That is anchoring, and it is not a discipline problem you can train out of a team. It happens because people are reasonable: if someone whose judgement you respect says five, revising your thirteen down feels like updating on new evidence rather than caving.

Hiding the votes until everyone has voted removes the anchor completely. What you see at the reveal is the genuine spread of opinion in the room, which is the only useful input to the conversation that follows. A wide spread is not a problem to be averaged away. It is the team telling you that they are estimating different pieces of work, and finding out why is usually worth more than the estimate.

No accounts, for anybody

Nobody needs to sign up to use ScrumMastr, including the person creating the room. There is no invitation flow, no seat management, and no waiting while a new joiner resets a password during the first five minutes of sprint planning. You share a link or hold up a QR code, and people are voting.

That matters more than it sounds. Tools that need everyone to register get adopted by the person who found them and abandoned the first time a guest, a contractor, or a stakeholder joins the call. Removing the account removes the moment where adoption usually dies.

Free, and honest about why

Every feature works on the free plan: all three session types, fifteen built-in decks, custom decks, the full statistics after each reveal, mood history, and the iOS and Android apps. There is no trial, no seat limit, and no feature held back to force an upgrade. A small ad banner is what pays for the servers.

Pro will remove those ads for everyone in your rooms and add a few extras, and only the host will ever pay for it. Participants never do. It is not available yet, and the pricing page says exactly where it stands.
